What is Natural Rubber?
Natural rubber is harvested primarily from a rubber tree in the form of latex. The latex is a sticky, milky colloid drawn off in a process called tapping by creating incisions in the bark and gathering the fluid in vessels. The latex is then processed to be ready for industrial processing into rubber. Latex is permitted to coagulate in the collection cup in major areas. Natural rubber which is used by our PARA brand is originally derived from latex found in the sap of rubber trees from Thailand, the first largest producer and exporter of natural rubber in the world.
